The new Gen 3-R Rooftop Tent introduces several notable upgrades, enhancing both its functionality and comfort. Here’s what’s new:

• Updated Look and Increased Rigidity: The Gen 3-R features a refreshed design that not only looks great but also enhances the tent’s rigidity, making it more robust and stable during use.

• Standard Heater Vent: To keep you warm in colder conditions, the Gen 3-R now comes with a heater vent as a standard feature, ensuring a cozy environment regardless of the weather.

• Solar Panel Input: Equipped with a standard solar panel input, the Gen 3-R allows you to power additional accessories or keep devices charged while on the go, adding a new level of convenience and self-sufficiency.

• Weight Reduction: The new model is lighter than its predecessors, weighing just 76 kg, which improves overall handling and reduces the impact on your vehicle’s fuel efficiency and performance.

• Air Vent: Starting from June 2024, the Gen 3-R will include an air vent for improved ventilation. For those with older models, air vents can be purchased separately and retrofitted to enhance airflow and comfort.

Load Rating for Cargo Rails

The Gen 3-R Rooftop Tent features a robust load rating for its cargo rails, supporting up to 50 kg. However, the placement of this load significantly affects the ease of opening and closing the tent. Here’s how to optimise your setup:

• Load Placement: Heavier items should be positioned towards the front of the roof. This helps maintain the tent’s balance and ensures smoother operation when opening or closing.

• Lighter Items: Lighter loads, such as a solar panel, are best placed towards the rear of the roof. This configuration helps in maintaining the overall balance and ease of access.
